If you want to use your camera on a tripod, you should definitely have one of these. Using the timer is getting old, if you want to get the photo yourself. I never could get a group of people representing more than 2 photos when you use the timer, but with that distance, it is easier to take multiple pictures in a row. Easy to use with my Nikon D5000.
