Over the past two years or so I've become increasingly interested ..Well, not in street photography as such, but to have a camera with me as often as possible. I started to carry my DSLR with me. It was fun for the first time several years. Then it became cumbersome. I was delighted when Olympus introduced what was then the smallest digital SLR, the E-400, but somehow it has not clicked. The successors were nice but the same thing happened. The Olympus E-620 was much more to my liking and I was sorry to return after playing with it for a while....
Two things to note arrived on my recent trip through the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore and the Badlands. The first: Sweetie (the wife) and I've been thrown out of a restaurant in Custer, South Dakota. Years ago, I cut and laminated a picture of a perfect steak New York strip from the SkyMall catalog, my theory is that the definition of cooking steak varies in each restaurant. But when I submitted my photo in that particular institution, the chief took umbrage, and Sweetie and I were invited by the maitre d 'to leave.We had some delicious fried shrimp down the block to the captain's table instead.
